4 Good Pacing and good amount of suspense. by michaelduck

Pros: Nicely done. I thought it had good pacing and was well put together. I also thought the actor did quite well and the mirror scene looked good from an effects standpoint. I thought many of the camera angles were well thought. Specifically the final scene from overhead.

Cons: I think the only thing I might have done slightly different would be the overall tone/color of the film. I am a big fan of color correction in the editing room and I think that could have been used to give it a more gritty and dark look. This is something that is not a huge cost, but can have a big impact.

Other Thoughts: Overall, very nicely done. I enjoyed it and I look forward to seeing more from you on this site.

Pros: Very solid short film. Great effects and editing made everything really come together along with some very good shots to go along with it. I`m a pretty big fan of that sort of unorthodox cinematography. The actor also did a nice job. It can be hard doing a film where you have to rely simply on your expressions and actions to express your character but he did a great job.

Cons: Maybe give the film a darker look. The lighting seemed a bit bright for what type of film it was and that can be a bit distracting. Not that big of an issue though.

Other Thoughts: I really enjoyed it. Keep up the good work.

4 Really great job. by AnthonyM

Pros: *It reminded me of Psycho and Evil Dead. Great little throwbacks to classic horror films. *Good use of close-ups. It really scared me. *The music was nice and scary. I loved the way it was synced up to the editing.

Cons: *I didn`t really understand what was going on, but I was still scared. *When he is sitting in the bathtub, it looks like the blood is coming from his butt. A little unintentional humor. Maybe have him face a different way.

Other Thoughts: Great job.

Future Winners

Once IndieFilmShare is established and running smoothly, one of the visions is to award prizes. These prizes would be to the person with the highest rated film as well as the person with the most reviews. We would like to do this on a monthly basis to promote great films and constructive feedback. We will keep everyone updated on the website as well as through twitter.

A site for independent filmmakers to submit their independent film for peer reviews. Indiefilmshare was created for independent filmmaking and to give independent filmmakers a place to display their work and receive reviews from peers on how to make their work better and in return become a better independent filmmaker. Independent film is an art that improves with constructive criticism and learning from various filmmaking tips. The main focus of the site is on reviews of films and not necessarily on the films themselves. This allows filmmakers to become better and not just a showcase of their films. We hope to see all of the indie filmmakers from this site improve and become the type of filmmaker they always wanted to be. We also hope to see our filmmakers labor be recognized to a broader audience. Best of luck and look forward to seeing all of your work on this short films website.
