3 Well Done with tough subject by michaelduck

Pros: I thought the way you shot this was very well done. The various camera angles on the child were very nice and flowed quite well. I also liked the color of the shots. If you used some color correction, nice job. If not, you got very lucky and keep color correction in your mind for next time. Your attention to detail was noted. Example being that you actually showed a shuttle lifting off on the TV as the little girl starting speaking of the rocket ship. I love seeing that type of detail. I was extremely impress with the child. She did very well.

Cons: This one is hard to critique the story as the subject you were given made story extremely difficult. You did well with what you had. I did not think the middle age woman portion went as smoothly as the others. It was hard to tell what she was doing. I would not have known if it were not for your description of the film. She did not seem to pay attention to the news or think about the various dreams as a child. She seemed to at the very beginning of her scene as she looked at the box, but not much more from there. The acting of the final woman was also not as well done as the others.

Other Thoughts: Overall, I think you did a good job with the subject you had and think you could really shine with a better one. Nice job and keep up the good work.

Future Winners

Once IndieFilmShare is established and running smoothly, one of the visions is to award prizes. These prizes would be to the person with the highest rated film as well as the person with the most reviews. We would like to do this on a monthly basis to promote great films and constructive feedback. We will keep everyone updated on the website as well as through twitter.

A site for independent filmmakers to submit their independent film for peer reviews. Indiefilmshare was created for independent filmmaking and to give independent filmmakers a place to display their work and receive reviews from peers on how to make their work better and in return become a better independent filmmaker. Independent film is an art that improves with constructive criticism and learning from various filmmaking tips. The main focus of the site is on reviews of films and not necessarily on the films themselves. This allows filmmakers to become better and not just a showcase of their films. We hope to see all of the indie filmmakers from this site improve and become the type of filmmaker they always wanted to be. We also hope to see our filmmakers labor be recognized to a broader audience. Best of luck and look forward to seeing all of your work on this short films website.
